Injured Ibrahimovic should be fit for Euro 2008
03-31-2008Injured Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in a good condition and should be able to play at this year's European Championship.
The Inter Milan player was ruled out of Sweden's friendly against Brazil on Wednesday because of a knee injury.
However, Professor Hakan Alfredson, who examined Ibrahimovic on Tuesday at a hospital in northern Sweden, told Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter that he is fit to play.
"The European Championship this summer don't appear to be in danger," Alfredson said, adding Ibrahimovic will immediately begin to work on strengthening his knee. "The prognosis is very good. Soccer players usually respond very well to the treatment we use against these type of injuries.
